Labiaplasty

We know you care about your appearance, including your most intimate areas. Through childbirth and the natural aging process, your body may have altered in a manner that you find embarrassing or displeasing. Your vaginal area may have developed skin laxity, causing it to have an appearance that leaves you feeling self-conscious when engaged in intimacy. This can affect not only your sexual health and perception of yourself, but also your mental health. Dr. Kathy Huang of the Plastic Surgery Institute of Washington, understands your concerns and is here to help.

What is Labiaplasty?

Dr. Kathy Huang's Washington DC labiaplasty is a cosmetic surgical procedure designed to restore or enhance the appearance of the vaginal area. It improves the overall appearance of your external genitalia and restores your sexual confidence as a result. With childbirth and aging, the labia majora and labia minora can stretch and become distorted in appearance. Excessively large labia may interfere with intercourse, as well as your everyday activities such as exercise. They can even get in the way of certain types of clothing, creating a bulge that you feel you need to hide.

What are the Benefits of Labiaplasty?

It is important to understand that while labiaplasty can improve the external appearance of your genitalia, it does not address tightness or functionality of the vaginal canal itself. Labiaplasty can restore the function, hygiene, and appearance of your labia giving you the confidence you deserve. Labiaplasty has several benefits including:

  • Reducing the size of the labia
  • Correcting the shape of the labia
  • Correcting asymmetry
  • Improving vaginal hygiene
  • Restoring your self-confidence
